Chongqing Xuanwang Food Co., Ltd., formerly known as Chongqing Huayu Food Co, Ltd. founded in 1992, got its current name in 2002. Now, with total assets of 60 million yuan, the company mainly deals in the deep processing of agricultural and sideline products and the development and production of leisure food. The company’s products boast rich Chongqing characteristics and include Chongqing rice dumpling stuffing and rice dumpling powder with Liu Deyi, a famous comedian (screenwriter and chief actor of the TV series Ling Tangyuan) as celebrity endorsement, as well as moon cakes for the Mid-festival festival, bean products, various seasonings, frozen food, cured meat products, stewed meat products, pickled meat products, etc.

The company has passed the certification of ISO9000:2000 and QS (food safety and market access compulsory certification). In 2002, the company was named Excellent Enterprise in the national moon cake quality random sampling held by the Ministry of Health and was pronounced for this. It was among China’s first batch of “Grade-A Quantitative Classification Enterprises” in the food production enterprises implemented by the Ministry of Health in 2005. Then from 2004 to 2006, the company was rated as Excellent Enterprise in Food Safety by Chongqing Bureau of Health for three consecutive years. It was also rated as “2006-2007 National Food Safety Model Unit” jointly by seven ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the State Food and Drug Supervision Bureau in 2006. Then in August 2006, the company’s moon cake was named Chongqing’s first “China Well-known Moon Cake” by the Ministry of Light Industry and China Food Industry Association. From 2007 to 2012, the company was twice identified as “Chongqing Jiulongpo District Leading Agriculture Industrialization Enterprise” by the Agriculture Industrialization Leader Group of Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. In 2008, the company’s Tupai brand was named “2008-2011 Well-known Trademark” by Chongqing Administration for Industry and Commerce; and the company was granted the title of “2008-2012 Director Unit” in the same year by Chongqing Confectionery Industry Association. And in November 2009, the company’s Tupai brand was re-rated as “Chongqing Famous Trademark” by Chongqing Administration for Industry and Commerce.

At present, the company has five professional technical personnel with senior titles, 15 intermediate technical personnel and over 400 ordinary employees, as well as a domestically advanced mechanical pastry and baking product production line, a Southwest China’s premier automatic rice dumpling powder (glutinous rice flour) production line, a bean product production line, a cured meat product production line, a pickled meat product production line and a stewed meat product production line. The six production lines, equipped with advanced equipment and excellent personnel, run well.

Thanks to the opportunities brought by Chongqing Municipality and with the implementation of China’s western development strategy, the company has developed rapidly. Its products sell well around China and mainly in Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shandong, Xinjiang and Tibet. The products are mainly sold in such well-known shopping malls as Chongqing Department Store, Chongqing New Century, Carrefour, Wal-Mart, Metro, Renrenle, Moer, Yonghui, Lotus, Beijing Hualian, Beijing King and other large chain supermarkets. Recently, the company is actively developing international market and its annual turnover has reached 180 million yuan.

While the company develops, it also pays more attention to employee quality training and the construction of corporate culture. The company regularly sends excellent employees to social training institutions to accept production technology and management knowledge trainings. In addition, the company has also cooperated with the Jiulongpo District Labor Bureau and become one of the Rural Labor Force Re-employment Engineering Cooperation and Training Enterprises in Jiulongpo District. The company gives priority to students to work in it, solving the re-employment problem of surplus labor force in surrounding villages and now has arranged more than 400 such students in total.
